ну @Admin не отрицает пагубного кальция (не в LSPI, а вообще) - только от конских доз мылища.
Типа 5000 ppm.

Наш @Admin просто не верит, что кальций настолько опасен - как насочиняли.
Тут есть и да и нет :)

Я на стороне борьбы с LSPI (и лишним мылищем, особенно overbased-мылищем). Яж не Алдар ибн Прибор, чтобы мылище любить;

Summary: A certain number of EcoSport vehicles equipped with the 1.0L EcoBoost engine may be susceptible to low speed pre-ignition due to local fuel quality, which could cause engine damage over time. Contaminants from sub-standard fuel sources can accumulate over time in the combustion chambers and begin causing an irregular combustion cycle prior to the spark plug firing.

Q. What should customers do?

A. Customers of affected vehicles should contact their preferred dealer to schedule an appointment.

Q. What is the issue?

A certain number of EcoSport vehicles equipped with the 1.0L EcoBoost engines may be susceptible to low speed pre-ignition due to local fuel quality. This could result in an engine misfire, and a loss of power may be experienced by the customer. In some instances, the vehicle might present difficulty starting - or in severe cases not start at all.

Q. How would fuel sources trigger a pre-ignition?

A. Contaminants present in sub-standard fuel sources can build up over time within the combustion chambers, and eventually cause the progression of pre-ignition. If not serviced, this could cause engine damage over time.

Q. The pre-ignition only occurs at low speeds?

A. This issue typically occurs at low engine speeds, high load and under acceleration.

Q. How was the issue identified?

A. Following initial reports of customers who reported this issue, our prompt investigation confirmed local fuel sources were causing a build-up of contaminants in the combustion chambers, leading to low speed pre-ignition.

Q. What action are you taking?

A. We are immediately writing to owners of affected vehicles asking them to bring their vehicles to an authorised Ford Dealer to update the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software which will help address the issue. Certain vehicles may also require the addition of Fuel Injector Cleaner to the fuel tank.

Q. Why will some vehicles require Fuel Injector Cleaner in the fuel tank?

A. Ford will add fuel injector cleaner to the fuel tank, either when the PCM software is updated, or at your next service. This decision will be made based on your vehicle’s service schedule. The addition of fuel injector cleaner will help clean any contaminants that may be present on the fuel injectors. This will reduce the risk of low speed pre-ignition.

Q. Is this a safety recall?

A. No, this is a customer satisfaction program to help maintain the quality and integrity of the affected vehicles’ engines.

Q. Are the vehicles safe to drive?

A. Yes, the vehicles are safe to drive, but Ford is encouraging all customers to have this service action completed as soon as possible to help maintain the quality and integrity of the affected vehicles’ engines.

Q. Will this affect the performance of the vehicle?

A. Customers will not experience any noticeable effect on the vehicle’s performance unless the PCM determines that the level of Pre-Ignition is critical and therefore de-rates performance to help protect the engine.

Q. Which models are affected?

A. Certain 2018-2020 Model Year EcoSport vehicles built in Craiova Plant (Romania) between 24 February 2018 - 16 December 2019.

A. All affected vehicles in dealer stock will have the PCM software updated prior to sale.

Q. Will there be any cost to customers?

A. No. Ford will cover all repair costs related to this recall action

Q. How long will this service take at the dealership?

A. The PCM update should only take around 20 minutes to complete. However, due to service scheduling requirements, Ford Dealers may need to keep customer vehicles for a longer period of time. Customers are requested to contact their preferred dealer in advance to schedule an appointment.



Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa (FMCSA) is recalling certain 2018-2020 Model Year EcoSport vehicles built in Craiova Plant (Romania) between 24 February 2018 and 16 December 2019. EcoSport vehicles equipped with the 1.0L EcoBoost engines may be susceptible to low speed pre-ignition, due to local fuel quality. This could result in an engine misfire, and a loss of power may be experienced by the customer. In some instances, the vehicle might present difficulty starting - or in severe cases not start at all.

Ford will immediately write to owners of affected vehicles and ask them to bring their vehicle to an authorised Ford Dealer to update the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software, which will help address the issue. Certain vehicles may also require the addition of Fuel Injector Cleaner to the fuel tank. Ford Dealers are required to update the PCM software on any vehicles in stock prior to sale of the vehicle. This is not a safety related concern.

We realise that vehicle service actions can be inconvenient to customers, but they help to ensure the quality of Ford vehicles. Customers of affected vehicles should contact their preferred Ford Dealer to schedule an appointment. The Ford Dealer will inspect the HP fuel injectors and replace the ones that do not meet the minimum durability standards Ford Motor Company has set. This service will be completed at no charge to the customer. The time required for this repair to be completed is less than a day however due to service scheduling requirements, your Ford Dealer may need your vehicle for longer.

не, норм.

LSPI существует!

Надо убирать часть кальция точно (а то вдруг топливо не то - лишний кальций еще хуже сделает). Гусь меня поддержит.

Да там вообще дичь какая-то...
Если дело в местном топливе, то на кой ... перепрошивать тачки на складе?
Форсунки будут менять, но присадку очищающую нальют.... В куда?
До свечи загорается от отложений (чего? топлива?), но это LSPI.
Заборят LSPI в итоге прошивкой ЭБУ.
Часть кальция конечно нужно убрать, но сдается мне .... ))

Не, ну они "мозги" стали лечить и форсунку чистить. Вообще непонятно, зачем они с GDI полезли туда, где 500 ррм серы и ароматика?
Я тут с 10 ррм очкую на обычном 95-м без присадок)))
