@blingo , amigo, this is your wheelhouse, so it is up to you to handle all these PAGs. Honestly, I do not know why you are so focused on them. We really do have them in our museum, PAGs for both 4T and 2T setups..

Just saying, this is definitely not OSPAG (and I do not think it is water-soluble), and honestly, PAGs are just not my thing (As you have already realized)

Their solubility is pretty wild (perfect spot for your killer PAG pics). @Admin probably knows more, but I feel like I am a bit closer to the real industry frauds than @Admin is.

Hyundai Oil Bank or what they were called had done the XTEER Top Prime oils with at least a little bit of OSP (according to SDS). Therefore I meant to ask here what blind passenger you and Rafe may have been featuring about the asian scene thanks to the Mr. from XOM ;-)

Did I ever steer towards the search term "load-carrying capacity"? Well, as your prime alternative the "load-bearing capacity" should always come in handy
Here it just led me to my preferred engine cleaner base fluid – not that I ever planned to clean an engine from either the inside or outside, but hey, when it's based on an OSP: the LB-285 via Sanyo.
No idea how fresh this presentation actually may be – so, keep it bowling in case...:

Na ja – eben! Dort bei Euch wirkte alles noch so unseriös, wie Du zugeben mußt. Keine ernsthaften Kräfte in der Branche hätten was von "Film Strength" geschrieben.

Außerdem war man beim französischen "phase change material" damals wohl noch nicht so weit – dem kleinen Wasseranteil, der zu den Ringen transportiert werden kann. Mindestens der gehört ja unter Vorteile der PAG noch erwähnt.
Und überhaupt... ich bin schon wieder drauf und dran, Deine Frage nach dem Warum mit allen drei Dutzend begehrter Aspekte und Facetten Dir um die Ohren zu hauen ;-)
(Wäre sogar drauf und dran, dafür die Umrüstung des Renesis auf Getrenntschmierung mittels Adapterplatte zu erwägen, die unsympathische (weil für mein Empfinden unsportliche). Bräuchte dann aber wohl nicht den bestimmt teuren Reiniger, sondern nur die bestimmt teure Basis. Ich schätze im Grunde, dies würde ohne alle Additivierung funktionieren.)
