Alvin H. Fagan, 94, 5707 John Ave., died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 1991 in St. Francis Home. Born Aug. 12, 1897 in Cecil, Wis., he was a longtime Superior resident.
Mr. Fagan was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he was the founder and president of Chemical Research Laboratory, Inc., which pioneered and developed synthetic oil.
Surviving are his wife, Doris A.; a son, Howard, Superior; three daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Marjorie) Cottenham, Waukegan, Ill., Frances O'Connell, Brown Deer, Wis., and Joanne Nelson, St. Cloud, Minn.; one brother, Grover, of Milwaukee; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
